I am so glad that He Lives!! This is one of my favorite hymns I used to sing when I was a child. I really didn’t get the meaning of these words until I was MUCH older, but now — how those words sing out to me…
I serve a risen Savior, He’s in the world today;
I know that He is living, whatever men may say.
I see his hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer
and, just the time I need Him, He’s always near.
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
In all the world around me I see His loving care,
And tho’ my heart grows weary, I never will despair.
I know that He is leading thro’ all the stormy blase;
The day of His appearing will come at last.
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christians, lift up your voice and sing
eternal halelujahs to Jesus Christ the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find,
None other is so loving, so good and kind.
Zechariah 3:10-13 (NLT)
The Lord says, “Shout and rejoice, O beautiful Jerusalem,for I am coming to live among you. Many nations will join themselves to the Lord on that day, and they, too, will be my people. I will live among you, and you will know that the Lord of Heaven’s Armies sent me to you. The land of Judah will be the Lord’s special possession in the holy land, and he will once again choose Jerusalem to be his own city. Be silent before the Lord, all humanity, for he is springing into action from his holy dwelling.”
